Based on monographic issues and promoted by one of Italy's best known and respected labour economists, the journal examines the problems of employment, unemployment/underemployment, income distribution, etc. as they afflict the Italian system. A useful vehicle for enhancing and broadening knowledge of labour market issues and debate in the field, it is targeted at everyone with an interest in the subject - politicians, economists, trade unionists, academics, and, more generally, anyone sensitive to the issues surrounding this key theme. More specifically, and in order to facilitate communication of research findings and participation in debate, Notebooks of Labour Economics aims to broaden the scope of labour market research in Italy and to coordinate the efforts of those working in the field. The journal's files are also published in "book" form and can be found in the series of the same name.
