A painful journey into the human psyche, told with a style that skillfully mixes metaphorical poetry with the explicit description of an anguished reality. A sort of literary oxymoron (oxymoron that we find also embodied in the main character in the book) through which Luigi Romolo Carrino deals with mental sickness, sexual ambiguity and life experience in a psychiatric prison ward. An interview with the writer, which highlights the psychological and hypnotic aspects that give substance to the novel and make it so interesting for us insiders.

Keywords: Hypnosis, dissociation, psychopathology, transsexualism, poetry, writing
