In the light of a renewed season of research showing how the work in the post- Fordism is not as irrelevant or resolved as it had been imagined, but once again a key factor in the identity formation and a crucial issue in the regulation of contemporary capitalism, the article, starting from a reflection on how the study of the quality of work can be an exploratory tool that can provide a multifaceted view of working conditions and supporting analysis on job satisfaction, analyzes the most significant results of the most interesting data on the second survey "changing job", promoted by the Democratic Party. An updated picture of the problems and social changes of the world of "jobs" in our country, as well as attitudes and perceptions of workers in a dynamic framework but unfulfilled with gray areas that open spaces of representation and targeted adjustment mechanisms.
