Re-reading a life history of a patient who since her adolescence is looking for herself suffering from a dissociative disorder. The reticence of autobiographic memory hides the historical reasons of discomfort. For this reason, it is necessary to overcome the amnesies expressed also by the alexithymic behavior. It is important to try, through an empathic therapeutic relationship, to reconsctruct the traumatic life experience.
