Presentazione: Un ricordo d'infanzia di Goethe e la rimozione di Freud ABSTRACT: In his reading of the Freudian essay about an infant memory by Goethe, the author isolates some elements which could have offered Freud the occasion far an unconscious identification with Goethe's jealousy towards his brothers. While writing his essay, Freud had already repressed bis own infantile jealousy, but his interest for the poet's infantile memory testifies on behalf of persistence of this unconscious affective condition of his. The subject of jealousy towards brothers is then retraced in other passages of Freud's writings and in some of his dreams.
