Abstract:
La parte introduttiva del capitolo (Paragrafo 1) riassume l’esperienza professionale in cui si radicano le riflessioni successive. Nel paragrafo 2 il tema del dolore è analizzato nei suoi risvolti individuali e sociali, nelle risposte che esso attiva in coloro che ne sono testimoni e nel "costo emotivo" della condivisione. Nel paragrafo conclusivo il prendersi cura, sintesi di sapere razionale e coinvolgimento emotivo, è coniugato nei suoi fondamenti teorici e nelle pratiche che lo concretizzano.
The beginning of the chapter (paragraph 1) summarizes the professional experience where the following considerations are rooted. In the paragraph 2 the theme of pain is analyzed in its individual and social implications, in the reactions that it triggers in those that are witness to this suffering and in the emotional costs of this sharing. In the final paragraph, taking care, which is a synthesis of rational knowledge and emotional involvement, is combined in its theoretical basis and in the practice that carries it out.
