This paper takes a rapid and panoramic glance to the numerous implications that the trauma’s issue has for Bioenergetics: the review of the concept of "catharsys" and its practical use; the reflections on various meanings of the notion of "body"; the issues of "bi-personal model" and "therapeutic alliance" in Bioenergetics; the integration of the studies about trauma with Bioenergetics; the criticism about the definition of Post-Traumatic Shock in the Dsm-IV; the necessity to gather our material on trauma’s issue; the attention on "life cycle" and the interest for the metaphorical language; the definition of "instinctual intelligence" for all the occasions where Lowen speaks of "body wisdom", in relation with the renewal of the concept of "instinct" based on the neurobiological studies about "mirror neurons", the "enteric nervous system" and "Polyvagal Theory"; the debate on "civilization/ Wilderness-Wildnis", on "crisis of modernity" and "complexity challenge". The paper ends with a clinical case of sexual molestation.
