After military dictatorships in the Southern Cone of Latin America, during the transition to democracy, the concern about human rights and the memories of repression highlighted the struggles sense of the past. With special emphasis on the Argentine case, the text addresses central aspects about politics of memory and intellectual debates on the seventies. This article approaches the beginning of the field of studies constitution, its expansion and diversification.
