In the past, rail transport has been very important for tourism development. After a period of decline, due to the use of alternative transport (in particular, air transport), rail transport has been regaining importance in the tourism sector in recent years. Currently rail transport, in addition to being functional to tourism, has also given rise to a specific type of tourism, the socalled rail tourism. This scientific paper intends to investigate, from a legal point of view, some problems of rail transport directly related to the theme of tourism and the COVID-19 emergency situation.
