REVIEW OF ECONOMICS AND STATISTICS FOR REGIONAL STUDIES The aim of the Review of Economics and Statistics for Regional Studies is to provide a forum for analysis, comparison, discussion and study relative to the growth and consolidation of a "culture of local development". The journal focuses particular attention on the problems of classification, measurement and analysis of territorial economies; research into local growth factors, such as infrastructure, innovation, finance, human resources; and assessment of the effects that territory and best practices have on local and national policies. Review welcomes original contributions on these subjects, dividing them into three sections: Essays: contributions of methodological or applicative relevance to the field of territorial analysis; Columns: edited by institutional subjects, these cover news, guidelines, contributions and themes related to local development; Performance Indicators: this section is dedicated to monitoring the main local variables and some of the indicators of local development. Review accepts essays in English and French. The journal is sponsored and backed by the Guglielmo Tagliacarne Institute, a foundation belonging to Unioncamere. Guglielmo Tagliacarne Institute was founded in 1986 with the aim of promoting economic culture through territorial economic study and statistical analysis. It also set out to support institutional training of employees of the Chambers of Commerce, Public Administration, business associations and companies. The experience accumulated by the Institute in economics and territorial statistics makes it a primary source of territorial statistics.
