While sketching out the geographic area covered by the measure for analysis and investigation using fcm is a fruitful approach, their integration with social and economic factors is an essential step in understanding agricultural growth and how it is influenced by environmental policy. This integrated approach shows how agri-environmental measures tend to develop in the region and, geographically, describes the spatial effects. Fuzzy clustering analysis demonstrates how decisions, whether they are related to the pursuit of policies moving towards the agri-environmental initiatives of organic farming and sustainable agriculture, or whether they concern ways of financing the measure?s activities, belong to the sphere of information, able to influence the new phase of agri-environmental financing and to keep it going. The spatial expansion of the measure all over the Region can help identify where the measure has taken root and in which directions it should be steered to achieve sustainable agri-environmental development in the area. Furthermore, the fuzzy cluster analysis highlights the relevance of the results, showing the policy direction that clusters should take in order to improve the measure?s effectiveness. This fragmentation has obvious consequences for the grape and wine supply markets, which are further exacerbated by the large number of varieties and territorial designations available in Italy today. Next, the analysis focuses on the flow of grapes annually processed by winemakers. Based on grape harvest and wine production data (for 2012), that winegrowers and wine-makers must compulsorily declare, grapes flows within the supply chain are estimated in order to assess the importance of the various (agricultural and non-agricultural) actors in the winemaking industry. The analysis suggests that the roles played by the various categories of players in the supply chain depend contextually on the territories where they operate and on the quality of the wines. This implies the existence of different wine supply-chain models in Italy. Finally, the paper analyses the wine grape markets, distinguishing between ?external?and ?internal?markets. In ?external?markets (sales of grapes to wine-makers by farmers or to cooperatives by non-members), prices depend on the contractual relationships between individual operators (private contracts) or, alternately, on collective agreements between producers and wine-makers. These markets today are very strong in the low quality grapes sector and in grapes processed by industrial wine makers. On the other hand, in ?internal?markets (on-farm winemaking or provision to cooperatives by members), the price of grapes is implicit and depends on the degree of value added by the wine makers. These markets play a primary role in the high quality wine sector: territorial brand wines and so on. As a result, spot markets for wine grapes are thin on the ground. Spot prices for grapes are still collected and published weekly during the harvest season by various organizations, but today they do not really have the same significance as in the past. Prices are quantified as a purely formal act, often influenced by vested interests. The buyers? effective willingness to pay is to a large extent only known by traders, and is linked to production strategies adopted by the winemakers. Author-Name: Gervasio Antonelli Author-Name: Gian Italo Bischi Author-Name: Fabio Tramontana Title: Consumo e consumatori di prodotti alimentari nella societ? postmoderna Abstract: The concept of the ?postmodern consumer? plays a central role in the debate, started in the early 80s, about economic, social and cultural changes in developed countries in the years following the end of the second world war. These changes were interpreted as a passage from modern to postmodern society. According to this literature, postmodern conditions have had a significant impact on the consumer, especially with regard to his/her psychological characteristics. In this new framework the consumer is viewed as someone more interested in the symbolic or cultural value of products and services than in their functional and utility value. At the same time, he/she is represented as an active player in the market scenario, exercising the freedom to move in search of trademarks, symbols and experiences through which he/she can communicate his/her own identity. The figure of the postmodern consumer is difficult to place in the framework of standard neoclassical theories on consumerism, which highlights the shortcomings of this theoretical approach in studying the behavior of the postmodern consumer. These shortcomings are likely to be more relevant when considering the consumer of food products, given the strong nexus between consumption and the well-being of the consumer and the symbolic and cultural value that food products project. The main goal of the paper is to provide an interdisciplinary overview of the postmodern consumer of food products by means of an analysis of scientific literature, mainly in the areas of behavioral economics, sociology and psychology. Following this, the paper focuses on questions regarding information and the rational behavior of consumers as being the main hypothesis upon which standard neoclassical theories are based, adding to the traditional approach to consumer choice the new insights provided by this different perspective. Finally, the implications of this type of analysis for food safety and quality policies are considered, together with a discussion on further research needed to define more effective policies. Dimensione economica dei prodotti contrassegnati da marchi dop/igp in forza delle normative comunitarie e strategie di valorizzazione Abstract: The valorization of an agro-food product is an articulated process that interacts with different variables and goes beyond the strictly economic dimension of the business system. Quality products, in particular, are closely related to the environment and to landscape, biodiversity culture and traditions. The valorization of the product in this case is conditioned by several factors that cannot be explained exclusively by normal value of use as measured by the market price. The topic, therefore, is discussed from the viewpoint of economic analysis, identifying various lines which developed, with a more thorough use of standard models, in order to contextualize the issue within parameters which make reference to reputation and convention theories and the quality of social construction. The work focuses, too, on the debate regarding the proper conceptual approach and on the methodology for differentiating collective brands from distinctive ones. Then we move on to a brief review of the legislation on certified products. Finally, valorization strategies for quality-branded agro-food products inspired by analysis of the economic sector, with specific regard to Italian agro-food products. This study was undertaken using data from a hypothetical experiment conducted in Spain. We find that non-celiac consumers value the texture of gf snacks and that this is the only attribute to have a significant positive effect on wtp. The descriptive results show that consumers believe that gf products are expensive, but that they do not present secondary effects; they are not considered either a fashion or a fraud. Moreover, the participants followed a healthy diet, which consisted of fruits and vegetables and foods rich in minerals and vitamins. Protection of water resources, habitat development, degradation of pollutants, atmospheric regulation, and, the appropriate use of biomass and eco-tourism services are discussed, as example of ecosystem functions and services that could be optimized. Furthermore, sustainable development strategies and indicators are proposed for Bositenghu Lake Wetland?s biomass reed production, water management, and eco-tourism. Current and future research should focus on development and implementation of an ecological compensation mechanism for a sustainable development of Bositenghu Lake, on-going evaluation of the ecological state of the wetland, and the development of early warning systems.
