In the 21st Century in Relationship to Climate Change and Human Imprint Impacts Abstract: This article focuses on the importance of the carbon currency as a fundamental tool to support sustainability. Starting from a theoretical approach and underlining the significance of an ecological currency in regenerating the resources and conserve the existing natural resources in the paper it has been proposed the use of a carbon currency. This last is crucial because it is important a type of currency that will be a measure to discuss the climate change impacts. More precisely, the impacts of human imprints and climate changes are important to be discussed and to be connected to the carbon currency which can measure quantitatively the release of carbon dioxide and other warming gases that are harming the environment and cause problems to the natural resources which allow to produce goods and services that we are using daily in our life. In strategy development goal setting should consider not only the global perspective, but also the needs and possibilities that could be derived from local or regional contexts. Since public participation is not a straightforward process, there are a number of issues to be carefully addressed for enhancing its contribution in strategy development and implementation. The discussion regarding some of these issues highlighted that misrepresentation, overloading, low willingness to participate, and power disparities are the main challenges for the management of the participatory process Classification-JEL: Keywords: Partecipazione pubblica, strategia, stakeholders, management, sviluppo sostenibile. The paper is devoted to the analyses of tax evasion, which reduces tax revenues and cuts financial resources for sustainable development projects. When comparing different types of tax behaviour we consider economic factors of choice as well as institutional restrictions and psychological features of economic agents, who make decisions about tax evasion. Using an original system dynamics model we analyse comparative effectiveness of the types of tax behaviour, dependant on different instruments of tax policy, and the possible situations of conflict of interests of the state and a taxpayer. The research investigated what and how much value the Miramare Natural Marine Reserve (Italy) was able to create from public funds. The environmental accounting approach was adopted, and environmental costs and benefits taken into account. Environmental benefits assessed ecosystem services such as gas regulation, nutrient cycling, biological control, food production, nursery, raw materials, recreation and science. The model demonstrated that the value produced by the Protected Area fully covered the money spent by public authorities by a rate of 2.5. An adequate waste management and disposal system requires the knowledge of the waste generation on the land. This paper presents the results of a research, based on the application of a Geographical Information System, for mapping the waste generation in the municipality of Trinitapoli, Italy. Aim of the research is to identify the points of waste generation and to quantify the waste. A dedicated geo-referenced database with data on the spatial distribution and amount of the plastic wastes was created; waste density ranged from 3.3 kg ha-1yr-1 to 861 kg ha-1yr-1. This study examines the level of interconnectedness and relational power of stakeholders of four Local Territorial Systems (LTSs) localized in the province of Lecce, the so-called Salento region (South Italy), as well as the dominant rationality of each LTS, in order to get significant information about the distribution of decision-making power among stakeholders. Results revealed that the observed LTSs are characterized by a systemic rationality, and hence the decision-making power is homogeneously distributed among network members. Policy implications for sustainable development are discussed, as well as limitations and avenues for future research. In the first part of this research, they are translated in a series of warning indicators; now we define their "red flag" values, and we apply them to the 2007-2012 financial reports of Italian state universities. For each university, and each year, the paper calculates a synthetic financial sustainability indicator as the sum of the score reached by every single indicator. The results are compared among Italian universities and with EUA?s published studies. Results show that the medium-sized universities hold the lowest levels of financial sustainability. The small and very large universities have, on average, the higher levels in respect to the medium-sized ones. Regards to quality, studies focused on innovations are related to aspects such as novelty, variety, processing, origin, convenience. The aim of the work is to understand if the innovation in products? quality and sustainability can help the success of agri-food enterprises on international markets. The used methodology is a prevalently qualitative direct investigation in two important companies, which are a symbol of Italian and French agri-business respectively and an example of a business model related to innovation and sustainability in quality. Even if it is possible furtherly to investigate in this matter, the study underlines the main role of innovation in sustainable food quality and its capacity to help enterprise to win in the modern global competition.
