Le dinamiche territoriali, economiche e sociali delle popolazioni migranti impattano le - e contribuiscono alle - trasformazioni della città. Il contributo presenta una prima indagine, condotta in una porzione di centro città di Napoli, sul fenomeno della grande diffusione delle attività per la vendita di beni di uso quotidiano con titolarità extra-ue. Lo studio è finalizzato a indagare, in termini di opportunità o limitazioni, da un lato le implicazioni che tali attività hanno sulle dinamiche territoriali, dall’altro il ruolo che l’apertura di questi piccoli negozi può avere nei percorsi migratori.

Il paesaggio della città di Napoli è un caleidoscopio in continua trasformazione. Assumendo come punto di osservazione privilegiato, anche se parziale, la presenza di cittadini stranieri titolari di attività commerciali al dettaglio, in sede fissa e ambulanti, è stata condotta un’indagine indiretta su circa 6.500 immigrati (circa l’11% del totale degli immigrati in città) registrati alla Camera di Commercio di Napoli, dal 1900 al 2020. Uno studio approfondito per nazionalità dei titolari, localizzazioni e periodi d’iscrizione delle attività ha consentito di ipotizzare il ruolo che di fatto hanno giocato gli immigrati stranieri nella divisione sociale dello spazio. A questo proposito, è stata osservata la concentrazione a diverse scale territoriali: da quella comunale, a quella dei quartieri, sino agli assi stradali.

Nell’ultimo decennio, l’informale è diventata una categoria ombrello, un caleidoscopio di pratiche diversissime d’uso ed appropriazione non autorizzati del territorio. Per tentare una fenomenologia delle pratiche informali sono possibili ed ugualmente necessari due approcci: il primo, qui definito istituzionale, è focalizzato sull’analisi dei processi di governance per comprendere le dinamiche strutturali che generano l’informale; il secondo, qui definito territoriale, è focalizzato sui soggetti e sulla loro agency per orientare la valutazione delle pratiche. Di seguito, si propone un esercizio di schematizzazione della fenomenologia delle pratiche informali mediante una lettura territoriale. Facendo riferimento al Sud Italia e particolarmente alla città di Napoli, si sono individuate "tre città informali" ciascuna materialmente prodotta e significata da altrettante categorie di soggetti individuali o collettivi, pubblici o no.

Questo libro restituisce gli esiti di un progetto di ricerca-azione sul complesso rapporto tra immigrazione e welfare locale nei territori di cinque Città Metropolitane italiane (Bari, Milano, Napoli, Torino e Venezia). Lo fa mettendo al centro le pratiche quotidiane degli operatori dei servizi, e impiegando primariamente la lente interpretativa degli studi urbani e territoriali, nella convinzione che spazi e luoghi del welfare siano centrali per l’esercizio materiale e concreto dei diritti di cittadinanza.

Il welfare d’inclusione rivolto o dedicato ai cittadini migranti e con background migratorio e soggetto a una notevole e frequente variabilita che rende difficili le operazioni di ricognizione e valutazione complessive. L’articolo rende conto dei risultati di ricerca ottenuti nell’ambito del progetto CapaCity Metro Italia grazie al quale e stata costruita una mappa georeferenziata dinamica degli attori e dei servizi presenti ed attivi sul territorio metropolitano di Napoli.

The present work aims to investigate the world of Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs), exploring in depth the implications related to the sustainability of the listing process in the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) Italia market in order to assess, adopting a critical approach, whether the path of listing could be the ideal choice to support a significant growth of these realities. An empirical survey is therefore presented in order to evaluate the sustainability of the listing process from both an economic- financial and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) point of view. The conclusions reached highlight how the listing process hides pitfalls in terms of economic and financial performance; while the commitment to ESG factors seems rewarding both in terms of share price trends and debt cost.

In the last ten years, the price of raw materials showed wide fluctuation and an increase in volatility. The volatility in the agricultural commodity market has aroused greatest interest because the prices of food commodities influence the survival of the people. Different studies have led different conclusions about the causes of these fluctuations. Some, following the Masters hypothesis, indicate in the increase of the speculative activity the determinant of such fluctuations. Others, instead, are critically and reported the inconsistencies of Masters hypothesis. In the following article, we analyze the wheat market, the different hypothesis of that have been proposed to explain price fluctuation and, implementing a regression analysis, we prove the uses of basis by the buyer, reseller and merchandiser of grain to achieve a profitable margin or minimize risks.

Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in spite of being a relatively recent methodological phenomenon has become increasingly important tool for the policy makers to bridge the gap between research and policy making. This work starts with an evaluation of the logic behind the adoption of HTA process for policy making, including features and advantages of the process. Subsequently, this study presents the risk related to the investments in health sector, from the different prospectives such as: balance among effectiveness, efficiency and economy; and role of the scarcity of available resources. Finally, the explanation about the necessity to evaluate the ability of investments in the health technology in nutritional care making a synthesis between the different variables to support the operations of the policy makers in a view to create added value and to contain costs.

The research defines the university financial sustainability as the interaction between three factors: the financial autonomy, the leverage, and the liquidity. In the first part of this research, they are translated in a series of warning indicators; now we define their "red flag" values, and we apply them to the 2007-2012 financial reports of Italian state universities. For each university, and each year, the paper calculates a synthetic financial sustainability indicator as the sum of the score reached by every single indicator. The results are compared among Italian universities and with EUA’s published studies. Results show that the medium-sized universities hold the lowest levels of financial sustainability. The small and very large universities have, on average, the higher levels in respect to the medium-sized ones.

The transports’ infrastructure represent a key element for the economic growth of both regions and sectors in Italy. In order to better examine it, we go through the analysis of passenger traffic making a distinction among modes of transport: railway, airport, road and sea. The study gives also a statistical overview on accidents related to the different means of transport; where the number of road accidents, despite its decline, remains very high. The paper concludes with recommendation toward strategies to implement security, particularly in those areas disadvantaged, as the Mezzogiorno.

The research aims at evaluating the financial sustainability of Italian state universities in respect to the other EU countries. We define it as the ability to achieve teaching and research objectives meeting the balance between incomes and expenditures, and we evaluate it from the interaction between three factors: the financial autonomy, the leverage, and the liquidity. In the first part of the paper, we analyze the literature, and we translate these factors in a series of warning indicators. In the second part of the paper, we apply these indicators to the financial reports obtained from the Statistical Office of the Italian Ministry of Higher Education and Research. The objectives are: to calculate a synthetic sustainability indicator for each Italian state university, and to compare the risk among Italian universities and Italian and EU university sector.

L’articolo si propone di illustrare il contributo offerto da nuovi strumenti proposti dall’Unione europea per consentire alle PMI di fronteggiare i vincoli finanziari che le affliggono. Partendo da una puntuale rivisitazione della letteratura teorica ed empirica in merito alle difficoltà incontrate dalle piccole imprese nella ri- cerca delle fonti di finanziamento necessarie a soddisfare il proprio fabbisogno, il lavoro introduce il progetto JEREMIE e le sue caratteristiche, sottolineando il ruolo che gli intermediari sono chiamati a svolgere. Inoltre, l’Autore individua alcuni significativi aspetti di JEREMIE che potrebbero aiutare le PMI a superare i loro limiti finanziari. Infine, è proposta una rassegna dello stato dell’arte dei progetti JEREMIE già avviati in Italia.
