I pericoli della neutralità ABSTRACT: The concept of analytic neutrality is reviewed with respect to its utility as a techincal guideline. Participation of an analyst’s personal judgments and affects in clinical work is discussed in relation to differing conceptions of how learning takes place in analysis. The question of what actually protects a patient from being exploited by an analyst is considered. A case example is provided as a basis for discussion
