This commentary to the clinical case presentation is focused on the possible emotional and relational meanings that may circle around a consultation and the clinical use of a one way mirror. The methaphor of the Oedipus myth is utilized for this purpose. The specific case of an adoption is discussed taking into consideration the eventual emotional implications for the parents couple as well as for the adopted child.
