The author draws on Lowen’s concept of the importance of diet in the exploration of our body’s various possibilities of finding well-being and bioenergetic balance. When we "listen" to our physiological rhythms, our individual needs, and when we recognize the physical and emotional sensations related to them, the consumption of food can be a moment not only of physical nourishment, but one of personal growth. In bioenergetic terms, we consider this to be the result of our continual search for "grounding".
