Resilience is the ability to overcome adversity, to rise again after a crisis, stronger than before. It will be described the role of resilience and the factors leading to its onset in trauma as anatural disaster. Then follows a brief description of how resilience can develop in children. It will be then described the role of the therapist in stimulating the process of resilience in the patient. In conclusion the restructuring technique will be described with some examples.
