Against Prometheus: politics as a gift. The mythological origin of the problem of the consensus. Consensus is the politics central problem since Greeks. In the myth of Zeus who gives politics to the men, the crucial issue of consensus is already faced. It is meant as constitutive element of the very idea of politike techne. For Greeks politics is dike, justice, since it provides to establish legal systems that organize the state, and it is also aidos, modesty, that is faculty to build consensus around those systems. But it is aidos that distinguishes politics from the technical knowledge, much more than dike.
