The text anticipates some of the results of the research phase relative to the positions of young trade unionists. The theme of the survey, trade unions and politics, has been applied to a group of young trade unionists in order to grasp the political significance that they attribute to their trade union action. The survey highlights the aspects that indicate a process of major change. They concern the mechanisms of replacement of union officials, the conception of the role, the perception of organizational priorities, places of reflection union, the criticality of the union and its relations with the political parties. The framework provided by the survey points out that the inclusion of trade unionists with characteristics quite different from those of traditional foreshadows significant changes. In relation to politics, the main subject of our analysis, tend to occur guidelines diversified its affinity with those who still practiced by many trade unionists in the course longer.
