We are presenting one of Claude Maritan’s posthumous unpublished paper, that was originally read in 2010 during one of the psychoanalysis study meetings (2009-2010) the Author held with a group of colleagues on male sexuality. Claude Maritan, a French psychoanalyst of the Societé de Psychanalyse Freudienne, was a member of Collège de psychanalystes and of the Fedération des ateliers de psychanalyse. Starting from the group work and within a specific cultural and professional frame - even if critically referred to by the Author - Maritan outlines reflexions about the pornography addiction, psychoanalitically alerting us from hidden moralism and refuse against these patients’ squalid histories. He considers as a symptom the pornografy addiction as well as some psychoanalysts’ claim to provide behavioural rules for sexual life. After the XIII century Catholic domain on the West world sexuality - Maritan asks - are we searching for a new missionary position by the psychoanalysts, in the XXI century? Very interesting conceptualizations on the sexual difference trauma, the lost of the narcissistic completeness and the restoration of maternal Unconscious are explained here.
