Quale politica industriale nell’attuale contesto competitivo? Il tema della politica industriale ha recentemente conosciuto un rinnovato interesse sia in ambito politico che in quello della ricerca economica, ed è stato oggetto di un ampio dibattito. Questo lavoro sostiene che una questione di ricerca importante da affrontare ora è quale politica industriale, vale a dire quale insieme di strumenti debba essere adottato per le diverse regioni e i diversi Paesi, con caratteristiche storiche e socio-economiche specifiche. Specie nella fase attuale è fondamentale tornare ad esaminare a fondo i cambiamenti strutturali, come l’organizzazione della produzione su scala mondiale e l’organizzazione industriale in filiere, le caratteristiche specifiche dei settori, i legami fra settori, per fornire indicazioni di policy più operative ai policy-maker ai vari livelli di governo;
