The article first investigates the goals and the European guidelines at the basis of the recent Italian Law 183/2014, of the Legislative decree 23/2015 (concerning the socalled "contratto a tutele crescenti") and of the Legislative decree 34/2014, on fixed-term work. Then, the A. focuses on the recent abrogation of the so-called project-based work and on the enlargement of the field of application of the employment protection, as outlined in the proposal of legislative decree approved on February 20, 2015. Notably, the new requirement of "eterorganizzazione", its potentials and limits are taken into account as well as its distinction from the "coordinamento". Finally, the A. underlines the need to introduce a new regulation of self-employment also economically dependent.
