As with any type of domestic violence, intervention on violence child-toparent (VFP) is complex. Frequently other systems are involved, such as the court or the social services, which complicate even more the intervention. It is not uncommon that the intervention is needed urgently. For this reason it is extremely important to rely on a protocol that allows to define accurately some objectives and some milestons to be achieved in the correct order, maintaining a coherent line of intervention and at the same time facilitating the evaluation of the results obtained. In this article the protocol of intervention on VFP developed for Euskarri, the Centre of Intervention on VFP (www.cuskarri.es), conceived for the Family Therapy School Vasco-Navarra (www. avntf.com), is presented. The protocol defines some phases of intervention: preliminary, initial, intermediate and final - with a series of objectives and actions for each phase to be concluded with a revision of the results obtained. Besides this general protocol there are specific interventions for famlilies with a single parent, families with both parents present, reconstituted families as well as families forcibly sent by the courts. In the end it adds the non-violence pat that needs to be accepted and respected in order to develop the therapy.
