The essay concentrates on the implications of two fundamental historic changes, which are intertwined and inter-dependent. On the one hand, the essay deals with the evolution towards hybridity between human being and the machine, which leads to the ‘machinic’ form. On the other, the essay considers the widening of the valorization basis of contemporary capitalism, and the transition from a fordist to bio-cognitive model. Particularly, it focuses on two aspects: social reproduction and unpaid labor. Finally, it analyzes how these new ways of working and producing value make sterile the concept of militancy, as a result of the crisis of the forms of labor representation.
