This paper investigates the relationship between the local community, natural resources and the territory, both from an historical and present perspective. The research moves from the analysis of how the community has historically faced and managed the geological and environmental fragility in the area of Civita; to the study of the landscape and the way people and nature interact and coexist. The author suggests searching for clues on how to manage the new challenges that Civita faces today.
