Institutional vertex and organizational consulting: a hypothesis. The purpose of this article is to present some reflections on the usefulness of employing an institutional vertex in the practice of organizational consultancy, aiming at answering the following question In what sense can the institution be considered a theoretical and practical object for psychosocioanalytical-ly-oriented consultancy? There are three hypotheses that will be presented in this article: the thinking of individuals and groups is influenced by a factor that stems from their institution of origin; the analytic fields generated in the consultancy meeting are traceable in such factor; this factor can be the object of work and further study. These reflections will highlight aware-ness to the institutional theme for the understanding of what happens within the framework of the consultancy setting; two of which - the Role Consultation and the Operational Group - will form the theoretical and operational framework of reference for the case studies.
