Since several centuries, the level of knowledge-specialization imposes clear choices as for the branch upon which to obtain in-depth competences. Such choices imply renouncing to explore different disciplines, which can result into an isolation so pronounced to cause an actual distress. In this brief essay it is suggested that the specialized monodisciplinary segregation can be overcome by practicing a method of speaking about one’s own competences that is respectful of the other’s level of knowledge, meanwhile keeping a curious and respectful at-tention towards those who made different choices and obtained other competences. Particularly referring to the case of Quantum Mechanics, the author suggests that the interdisciplinary dialogue that can follow from practicing this method might be a valuable tool to enjoy the collective breach towards an ever broader knowledge.
