In recent years, scientific research has increasingly highlighted the complexity of the Pnei relationships existing between the human being and his environment, whether internal or external. Knowing these relationships is fundamental for understanding health and disease, but also for planning increasingly effective therapeutic strategies. This narrative review aims to highlight, in a bidirectional sense, the structural and functional relationship between human biomechanics, the activation of the stress axis and the consequent inflammatory stimulation of leukocytes. In particular, since many immune cells reside and act inside the fascia, attention is paid to the mutual influence between the various constituents of the latter and the immune cells. The article’s ultimate purpose, therefore, is to contribute to the promotion of an integrative clinic for the healthcare of patients suffering from chronic musculoskeletal and inflammatory diseases.
