The aim of this paper is to focus the growing interest in local food products in spite of the process of globalisation, particularly with regard to the tourism. The role of modern agriculture is changed. In past times agriculture had only a productive role; nowadays it is necessary that it offers many other services, not only products, to the community. In fact, people ask natural spaces, environment, genuine food; in other words modern consumers search for differentiation. So, typical food product could be at the same time, way for agriculture and tourism development.
