This contribution summarizes a research for the construction of a questionnaire about coping at work for adult people. The first stage of this research was a qualitative inquiry to find problematic situation and strategies of coping facing these situations, used by Italian people. The first version of questionnaire was built with these data. The characteristics of this questionnaire have been analyzed in terms of factorial structure, reliability and the ability to discriminate between different subjects. A large Italian sample has been involved in research: 1548 subjects. The last version of the questionnaire is composed by 36 items. Exploratory factorial analysis (ACP) identifies three factors, each with satisfactory reliability.
