Ego-resiliency, regulatory emotional self-efficacy beliefs and work performance: an empirical contribution - The aim of the study is to investigate the relation between ego-resiliency and job performance. The study involves 101 financial consultants working for a national organization. Participants was asked to fill a questionnaire battery measuring ego-resiliency and self-efficacy beliefs in managing negative emotions and in expressing positive emotions. Job performance of each financial consultant was provided by the managers of the organization, who classified participants into three groups, according to their work productivity: high, medium, and low performers. Results showed that perceived efficacy to regulate positive and negative affect is positively related to ego-resiliency.
