Protecting an indissoluble bond: the mother-child assisted living centers - The article presents the structure, culture and philosophy of the mother-child assisted living centers met and analyzed during this study in the Lombardy region. The investigation considered the care methods and the organization of these particular centers in which the child is protected by the Authorities along with his mother. The juridical and socio-cultural aspects have been also considered. The results have given a clear vision of the important social and institutional role that the mother-child centers have in society. Key words: mother-child center; bond; educator; Lombardy region.
