Ethical supply chain and sustainable consumptions - This essay offers some reflections about the recent consumers trend of choosing goods not just in terms of quality or price, but also referring to product’s history and biography, the choices and the behaviors of producers and distributors. The hypothesis is that ethical supply chain can make visible each and every relationship between goods and actors involved within the whole process, allowing to choose consumption behaviors that protect eco sustainability, and moreover human dignity, upgrading inclusion and development of the weakest link in the value chain.
Keywords: Ethical supply chain, sustainable consumptions, social responsibility, supermarket activism, zero food miles
