In this age during which neurosciences are de_ ning a new way in psychiatry, what brought us to formulate the questions of this interview is the thought that the brain, organ of mind, isn’t the one and only _ eld to explore in order to _ nd the legitimacy and the raison d’être of every human display. Every human experience can be distorted, both in pathology and in the so-called normality, but this can not be reduced, in our view, into a simple expression of the brain. Just like Gross and Huber believed almost twenty years ago, we began by wondering: "Does Psychiatry still need psychopathology?" Therefore, we asked this and other questions to Professor Eugenio Borgna, who pointed out evolutions and involutions of psychiatry after Basaglia illustrating perspectives and expectations.
