The author faces the theme of the depression in connection with the deep transformations of the actual society. The reference is to authors that explore the hypermodern culture. The individuals think the comfort as consumption of objects and the human relationships they become objects. The consequence is that it disappears the feeling to belong to a history that offers sense to the present. The depression is not therefore loss of objects of investment but radical feeling of an existential void.
