In a European context, legal integration success depends on the legal regulation of fundamental rights of immigrants. According to the MIPEX, Portugal is one of the countries where the integration for third country nationals has obtained the best results. In fact, the Portuguese case shows positive parameters on integration of family migration with the concession of visa categories and residence permission and the recognition of a legal position of family members. The analysis of the Portuguese model allows to discuss and to examine differences between Spanish and Italian immigration law, useful to improve the efficiency and guarantees of the integration of immigrants.
