The contribution is divided in three parts. In the first part the author takes a look on how the sexuality has been at the centre of the past century. A century that begins with the wises on Freud’s sexuality and finishes with the Viagra. A century that leaves us the inheritance of a spread of sexual problematic that are listed as addiction. The second part examines the definitions, the studies, the open points, the critical situations of the same matter but on a more clinical view. The third part rotates around the addiction model taking a look on how this has to be reviewed in order to understand the new shape of dependence where are highlighted some paradoxes on the prevention and the therapy. The last part takes a look on the cultural and economical model and the development of individual pathology.
