This chapter addresses the issue of children’s health and the responsiveness of the Health system. Specifically, it deals with issues like disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, learning disorders and mental health problems. The chapter also highlights how health care is universal and free or low cost at the point of delivery, how it is extended to foreign unaccompanied minors and to foreign minors from irregular migrant families, included the right to be assisted by a pediatrician chosen by the family, but how some children are still victims of health poverty, meaning that, although they are entitled to it, they are unable to access medication and treatment. Finally, the social and health care system support for pregnant teenagers is described.
