The authors describe the experience of "0/1 Space" and other group activities, aimed to support new parents and settled for primary and secondary prevention. They explain the action-research which started the project and the results of a study to verify its utility, through anonymous questionnaires. They underline the importance of the observation of the parent-child interactions, using the technique of parent-child observation. You can find some examples of a group work promoted by the psychologist and the pediatrician, sometimes in a combined way, in the prospective of mother-infant dyad or father-mother-child triad. In some cases, the psychologist’s work takes into special consideration the risk factors in psychological development of children. The article illustrates how the work changed knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of the participants, also in relation to the effect of the group matrix.
