The present research-intervention project aimed at analyzing and modifying assessment in-struments to evaluate the effectiveness of educational and therapeutic interventions in a thera-peutic community for dual diagnosis. The project provided: a deep reflection on needs and purposes of evaluation; the creation and experimentation of instruments; an evaluation of con-tent, usefulness and statistical aspects of the new instruments. The main result is the activation of a reflective thought on the theme of evaluation, generating good practices that continue to last. This intervention highlights the potential of participatory research to address the issue of evaluation in care contexts.
