The piece offers some reflections about online psychotherapy, all from a personal and experience-based perspective. A brief summary of the italian debate of the last 17 years about psychotherapy via internet is proposed. Two factors are then enhanced as the trails for the developement of online psychotherapy: the growing impact and influence the internet has in everybody’s life, and the importance of the therapeutic alliance and relationship over other factors in psychotherapy. Some recommendations  about how to take care of the online analytical setting are then described, both about the analytical space and the dynamic of the session. These are practical as well as technical recommendations. The inclusion of the topic of online psychotherapy in analytical trainings is eventually suggested.
