This study examines the health needs and barriers to access to health services experienced by migrants in a Calabrian CARA. Through a mixed methodology, which includes questionnaires administered to migrants and doctors in the province, interviews with key stakeholders and comparative analyses between two data collection phases (June 2024 and February 2025). The research identifies the prevailing health criticalities (infectious diseases, dermatological diseases and mental distress) and systemic obstacles to access to care. Problems emerge related to language barriers, lack of awareness of the services available, inadequate staff training and lack of coordination between public bodies and the third sector. Proposed recommendations include strengthening on-site healthcare, developing specialist services, training staff in culture and language, and establishing structured coordination mechanisms. The results offer an empirical basis for more inclusive health policies, capable of effectively responding to the needs of a vulnerable migrant population.
