The protection of minors, the respect for their rights and the prevention and acknowledgement of any abuses suffered constitute a terrain in which the commitment of health professionals (pediatricians and psychologists, in particular) assumes an important role. Through the recent introduction of the qualifying degree for psychologists into the university system, the aspects of the professional training of the psychologists themselves and the possibility that starting from the university years students are guided to share the skills and experiences of the professionals, services and institutions involved in the protection of minors and their families.
