PRIVACY POLICY ON PERSONAL DATA AND WEBSITE COOKIES

In compliance with European Regulation 679/2016/CE (GDPR) 

Dear user, 

Franco Angeli Srl protects the privacy of the visitors of www.francoangeli.it (from now on the ‘Website’) applying all the most suitable norms to lawfully protect personal data. This law regulates the usage of personal data and information supplied by users, as well as the policy on personal data gathered and used in compliance with the legislation of the European Union; in particular art. 13 GDPR 679/2016 is applied when the user decides to fill out the contact form. 

The Data controller reserves the right to modify this policy at any time and, for this reason, the user is invited to regularly read this page.

In particular, the user can refer to its legal representative to exercise their rights in compliance with article 15 of Regulation 679/2016/CE.

Purpose of data processing 

The personal data, voluntarily supplied by filling out a specific form, is processed with the purpose of supplying the requested information. Should the user voluntarily send an-email to any of the addresses indicated on this website, Franco Angeli Srl acquires the e-mail address of the sender to reply to their requests (sending of eventual information on its services/products may be included).

Franco Angeli Srl will use the gathered data to: 

a) perform a buying and selling contract or a contract for the supply of services (supplying of online goods or services); 

b) Direct marketing tasks to send updated information on our products, also by means of newsletter; 

c) Market surveys or other surveys aimed at improving its products and services. 

Data processing 

The personal data supplied, gathered, and made available to Franco Angeli Srl will be processed in an electronic or printed form, and shall always be protected by adequate safety systems, constantly updated and preserved in a safe and controlled environment.

Data disclosure 

Your data will be disclosed to a third party only for the shipping of the purchased items – to the given address - or for the sending of newsletters. 

To guarantee the utmost safety, the information on your credit card is not preserved. The data may be communicated to suppliers of communication and electronic filing services, banks, financial intermediaries, lending institutions, providers of centralized informatic systems, companies in charge of packaging, shipping and delivery of purchased items, or in charge of sending mail and commercial information. 

The processed personal data is disclosed only to specific parties. According to their roles and tasks, employees and suppliers are legitimated to data processing within the limits of their competences and in compliance with the instructions supplied by the data controller. 

Consent 

The personal data of the interested party, may be communicated to a third party without need for consent in the following cases: 

•  should it be necessary to perform obligations deriving from a contract the user is part of; or to respond to a specific request of the user, before the contract expires.  

•  should it be necessary to perform an obligation in compliance with the law, a regulation or a community legislation; 

• should it be necessary to respond to a request of the government authorities. 

Data transfer 

The data controller does not transfer personal data to third countries; however, it reserves the possibility to use cloud services. In this case, the suppliers of the services shall be selected among those who supply the right guarantees in compliance with regulation 679/2016/CE.

Voluntary or mandatory nature of the supply of personal data – consequences in case of lack of supply. 

The voluntary or mandatory nature of the supply is specified from time to time – with reference to the specific requested information – every time the data is collected. Mandatory information is marked by this symbol (*).

Should the user refuse to supply mandatory information, the aim of its collection cannot be achieved: this refusal could, for instance, imply the impossibility to provide the requested services. An eventual partial or total supply of the requested data by the website visitor, implies the partial or total impossibility to satisfy eventual requests submitted through the website. 

The only mandatory data that users supply in the company blog http://dietrolequarte.francoangeli.it/  is their e-mail address, which is necessary to leave a comment or receive a notification when a post is published. 

Duration of data processing and retention

The data controller retains and processes the gathered personal data only for the time strictly required for the indicated purpose, or as required by the applicable law. 

Rights of the interested party 

In compliance with art. 15 ‘right of withdrawal’, 16 ‘right of rectification’, 17 ‘ right of cancellation’, 18 ‘ right of restriction of processing’, 20 ‘right of portability’, 21 ‘right of opposition’, 22 ‘ right of opposition to an automatic decisional process’ of GDPR 679/16, the interested party can exercise their rights writing to the data controller, to the address given above, or to vendite@francoangeli.it. If the user has given their consent for one or more purposes, they have the right to revoke the consent at any time. They have the right to complain to the authority in charge. 

Other websites 

The website may contain links to other websites. This privacy policy is not applicable to those websites and, as a consequence, the user should read their specific privacy policy. Franco Angeli Srl is only responsible for the information gathered on its website. 

 

COOKIES POLICY

Cookies are text files that websites send to their terminal (generally the browser) when the user visits the site. They are memorized in the terminal to be sent to websites when the user visits them again. The informatic systems and software responsible for the website functioning, acquire some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the usage of Internet communication protocols. Their functioning depends totally on the browser used by the user and may be activated or deactivated by the user. 

www.francoangeli.it and its subdomains use technical cookies for the website functioning and for the supply of its services. They are not used for other purposes, they are normally installed directly by the owner or controller of the website, and they do not require the previous consent of the user.  They can be subdivided in: 

• ‘Session’ cookies. They are memorised on the user’s computer for functional and technical needs, for the sending of identification data necessary, and to efficiently and safely explore the website. They are cancelled at the end of the ‘session’ (hence their name) when the browser is closed. This type of cookies allows to avoid the usage of other informatic techniques that may affect the privacy of the user. 

• ‘Persistent' cookies. They are memorised on the computer disk until they expire, or are cancelled by users. Through persistent cookies visitors are recognised every time they access a website. Persistent cookies satisfy many interesting functionalities for visitors (e.g., the registration of the cart on e-commerce pages). However, persistent cookies can also be used for promotional or other purposes. 

• ‘Analytics’ cookies. They are used directly by the website manager to collect information, in an aggregated form, on the number of users and on how they visit the website. They trace the type of browser (e.g.  Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox) the operating system (e.g., Mac OsX, Windows, Linux) the host and the URL of origin of the visitor, as well as the data on the requested page.  

On our website we use only technical cookies. We do not use profiling cookies because we do not do targeted advertising based on the profiling of users. We only do general advertising. 

Visitors can set their browser to accept/refuse all cookies, or to receive a notification every time a cookie is proposed in order to decide whether to accept it or not.

Select Settings from Main menu

Select/Deselect "Block all cookies". Websites, third parties and sponsor can archive cookies and other data on Mac.
