Numerous are the studies dedicated to the two Berlusconi’s decades - spanning from the biographical peculiarities, political language and power system of the Cavaliere, down to the sociological characters of his electorate and to the blindness of the Left and the Unions in front of the social changes cropping up during the Eighties. While keeping an expert eye on such wide background of literature, the A. takes into particular account the works - published posterior to 2009 - by Antonio Gibelli, Simona Colarizi and Marco Gervasoni, Guido Craiz, Giovanni Orsina, Giuliano Amato e Andrea Graziosi, examining their principal interpretative arguments.

Keywords: Berlusconi, Berlusconism, Second Republic, Italy in the Eighties, consumerism, political marketing
