In this work a comparison among some aspects of the Jungian psychology and some currents of thought of the European culture of the XX century is suggested, and, in particular, with reflections coming not only from the philosophy of science and the human subjects, but also from those branches that, in different and not always integrable ways, have proposed the downsizing of the "cognitive" compared to the wider category of the "existential". The Jungian concept of psychotherapy is connected to this downsizing.
