Civil market economy refers to a Mediterranean economic model aimed to pursue common good by acknowledging an important role to no-profit organization. In this report we state that the civil agriculture (local economy) represents a "civil economy", characterized by a system which involves local communities and represents a vision of a society based on sustainable social, economic and environmental practices, on ethics, on responsibility and reciprocity. In this framework, the civil agriculture - whose high value is recognized also by the EU - sets itself up in the Euro-Mediterranean zone with positive trends in terms of economic growth, thus demonstrating that it is possible to overcome the difficulties of the current historical period, which deriving from the traditional capitalistic model based on big enterprises and on the relational duo State-Market.
