The clinical work with Iryna represented a clear example of the need to face emergency psychological interventions and those in which traumatic events, social discomfort, exclusion and loneliness are encountered, where all the actors are involved, including the operators who participated to the aid interventions, the caregivers andallthepeopleaffected. It is necessary to get rid of the linear preconceptions between cause and effect and face each event through a global and unitary vision of the individual and his or her history, looking at fragility and resources, both personal and collective. In Iryna’s case the war from which she fled represents only one of the many wars and traumas experienced, therefore, it was necessary to seek resources that had remained buried in the rubble and that needed to be searched with her.
