Through a systematized literature review, the article investigates Anselm Strauss’ legacy on organizational studies related to healthcare. In particular, the concepts of "negotiated order" and "articulation work" were considered. As for the concept of negotiated order, the analyzed articles develop two closely connected themes: inter-professional relationships and boundary work in terms of negotiation processes. When considering articulation work, the main themes are the technologies and the between organizational, professional and socio-relational aspects of healthcare. While care practices are being reconfigured in light of the technological change, negotiated order and articulation work are still fruitful concepts.

Keywords: negotiated order; articulation work; coordination; technology; healthcare organiza-tions; symbolic interactionism.
