Il processo di trasmissione e interiorizzazione dei valori si articola su piu livelli (individuale, relazionale e sociale), coinvolgendo simultaneamente piu attori. Luogo privilegiato di trasmissione di valori rimangono le relazioni familiari, nella coppia (trasmissione orizzontale) e tra genitori e figli (trasmissione verticale). Con riferimento alla Teoria dei Valori di Schwartz (1992), la presente ricerca vuole indagare come la condivisione di valori tra i membri della famiglia sia legata alla qualita delle relazioni familiari, considerando contemporaneamente l’asse orizzontale e quello verticale della trasmissione. In particolare, essa prende in esame l’associazione esistente tra, da un lato, la similarita/differenza valoriale nella coppia e tra genitori e figli adolescenti e, dall’altro, la qualita delle relazioni percepita dai genitori, intesa in termini sia di soddisfazione relazionale sia di autoefficacia nella gestione delle relazioni coniugale e genitoriale. Alla ricerca hanno partecipato 381 triadi familiari, composte da padre, madre e figlio/a adolescente (range d’eta: 15-19 anni), residenti nel Nord Italia; ciascun partecipante ha compilato un questionario self-report volto a indagare i costrutti di interesse. Complessivamente, i risultati ottenuti evidenziano come la condivisione di valori in famiglia, sia tra i partner che con i figli, si accompagni a una maggiore soddisfazione relazionale e a una piu forte percezione di autoefficacia da parte dei genitori. In particolare, e l’essere simili rispetto all’importanza assegnata ai valori del conservatorismo a supportare maggiormente la qualita delle relazioni in famiglia.;
